Goals for today
- First rough draft of “The Cards” is done
- Lion Clicker has a UI that works on desktop and mobile
Linux exploring- vector graphics
After using Open Office Writer and having a mixed experience I was nervous to try out the vector graphics editors on Linux. I shouldn’t have been nervous- Inkscapeis superb. On MacOS I would use a very very old copy of Sketch(I loved it before it became a very online, very collaborative editor. I really just need a good vector editor).
Inkspace was perfect for working through SVG’s and EPS and I quickly found my flow with it.
End of day
I’m working on a presentation called “The Cards” about mental health and staying sane as a creative person in tech. It’s mostly done. I spent a lot of time on CSS animations and I’m enjoying that and learning a lot.
Worked on Today
- The Cards
- Art for different card type
- Lots of animation
- Lots of vue components for managing state and animations
Tomorrow
- I have one more effect- a card flip- that I need to get done. Once that’s done tomorrow I’m free to finish writing the talk and start practicing.
- Lion. Clicker.
